I actually did this shoot with this beautiful lady a few weeks ago but am just blogging it now. It was a beautiful winter afternoon and Katie joined me for a ‘just for fun’ shoot. I don’t have the opportunity to do this type of shoot very often, so it was fun for me to do something a little different. I am definitely itching to do a shoot like this again in the near future!

Hello everyone! Later this month I’m teaming up with professional hair and make-up artist Chelsey Guillaume for some boudoir sessions in the gorgeous rooms of The Hotel Sask in Regina, SK. We are doing a marathon shoot on Saturday January 28th, 2012. These sessions are $300 and include a disc with a minimum of 50 high-resolution retouched images as well as 25 prints in a beautiful photo box. This year on Christmas Eve I had the pleasure of witnessing another birth! I truly wish this was more popular around here because it is one of the most amazing things to document. This time it was for my dear friends, Jeff and Amber. I plan on doing a full post at a later date to share some more of their photos and I’ll write a bit more about it at that time, but I have one photo I really wanted to share before that happens. I absolutely love the emotion in this photo! The look on Amber’s face, the first time she caught a glimpse of her son is so raw and I hope it shows you all just one of the many reasons why I love being involved in something so powerful.

It’s a WINNER as far as photography goes. Amber and Jeff, you have the most beautiful baby boy! Congratulations!!! To have captured the expression on Amber’s face is something to be treasured and even Carter can look back at this photo for the rest of his life and relive the absolute love and joy his parents felt. Honestly this is a photo to be treasured forever!!! Way to go Ali and again congratulations Amber and Jeff.

These two are adorable! I’m going to be shooting their wedding next summer and I’m already excited to work with them again. I have to tell you about her ring because it’s just too precious to not share the story. It’s one thing to be proposed to by the one you are in love with, the one you want to spend the rest of your life beside. However, it’s an entirely different story when that proposal also comes with a completely handmade ring by your now fiancee! Ryan actually made Stephanie’s ring for her from titanium and it’s beautiful and unique, and truly one-of-a-kind!

Yesterday was an absolutely beautiful day down here in the valley. I was joined by a wonderful family who happens to live just up the street from us. For such a small town I was shocked we had never met before! We wandered around our neighborhood and even went tobogganing(!) to take pictures of her beautiful baby bump as well as some family photos. Here are a couple of quick photos from their set
