Earlier this month I attended a workshop with National Geographic photographer, Pete Ryan. We wandered around Saskatchewan’s iconic Claybank Brick Plant. It was a laid back workshop and we just explored the grounds, talking about the photography industry, working for National Geographic, and travelling the world. It was completely different from any other workshop I’ve ever taken and I very much enjoyed the freedom to just explore and talk. Anyone who knows me, knows that an assignment with National Geographic has been a long-time dream of mine so it was really exciting for me to be able to pick the brain of an individual who has been doing photography for them for quite a few years now.
