Another great wedding back in my hometown of Moose Jaw!
I honestly can’t believe how lucky we got with the weather this day. For weeks beforehand the weather forecast grew worse and worse. They were calling for inches of rain, heavy winds, and basically the worst possible day for an outdoor wedding.
On my drive from Lumsden to Moose Jaw the rain was coming down so heavily that drivers were pulling over onto the side of the highway to wait out the storm. I had ALL of my rain gear packed though and I was determined to have an amazing day and still get a few outdoor portraits.
I pulled into a parking spot downtown and as soon as I turned my vehicle off the rain started to lighten. It seemed to good to be true, but that ended up being the worst of it and all day we couldn’t stop expressing our luck with the weather. Later in the evening as we were finishing up Kim and Austin’s portraits they told me of an old wives tale that called for them to bury hot dogs under some bushes next to their outdoor ceremony site. So, maybe it was the hot dogs, but either way, it was an incredible day with the best people!
